In accordance to article 6.7 of the FIDE rules of chess, issue Feb-2023, the default time is 0. This means that all players must be seated behind the board at the start of each round. Failing to do so will lead to a loss of the game.
The start positions will be placed on each table in sealed envelopes. At the indicated start time of the round, the arbiter will give a signal and the envelopes may be opened. The participants will set up the start position and then the clocks will be started.
The first two rounds will be paired based on rating (classic), while the remaining rounds will be paired based on Buchholz.
A half point bye is only possible for round 1. All other byes will be counted as a loss according to the rules.
